About the event
I don’t know if you have been by the Zimmerman house yet or not, but the many layers of old paint are almost gone on the front of the house. We have been taking a lot of photos of the house in its almost naked form and although it looks a bit ‘Munster-esque’, it’s a treat to see how it looked when it was being built. Once the paint strippers are done, it will be sealed and a fresh coat of white paint will be applied. Once the painters are done, we are going to finish up the front porch.
This project is a long time coming, and although very expensive, it’s necessary for the continued preservation of the home and will ensure its existence and beauty for many years to come. We want to thank all of our supporters, grantors and the many donors that have made this possible.
